History

The Department of Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Property is established with the aims of providing education at undergraduate level in the field of conservation and restoration of movable and immovable cultural property; carrying out scientific researches and practices within the framework of national and international principles, legal regulations and professional ethical codes; and educating professional staff required in this field in our country. Establishment of the department was decided at the meeting of the Executive Committee of Council of Higher Education on 13th of May, 2015. Our department accepted students for the first time in the 2018-2019 academic year.
